  • Yes! I specifically rent out the spectra brand pumps because they are a closed system. This means that breastmilk is unable to get into the pump. This keeps your milk clean and free of any bacteria or germs. It is also required to have or purchase your open pump kit. Pump kits are not to be shared with other people to avoid any chance of infection, bacteria growth, or milk contamination.

  • While it's true that many insurance companies do cover the purchase of specific breastpumps. Getting one can be a slow process and many people need to have a pump available before they can receive one from their insurance. Short term pump rentals help to bridge that gap in time that can make or break establishing your milk supply.
