Have you heard of using a TENS unit for labor?

It's a wonderful labor tool that can help reduce your pain and increase your ability to labor without any medications.

The Rental fee is $50 plus an additional $25 deposit which is retuned when I receive the unit back.

What is included:

  • 1 Elle TENS unit with working batteries

  • 1 Set of spare batteries

  • 2 lead wires

  • 1 pack of electrodes (4 individual pads)

  • 1 Neck lanyard

  • 1 Carrying pouch

  • 1 Set of instructions

The rental period for a TENS unit is from 37 weeks gestation until after you have given birth.

Please note: If you are already a client of mine then then the rental fee is waived but a deposit is still required.

*$25 of the rental fee will be given back upon the return of the unit.

    • Allows for freedom of movement and a sense of control during labor.

    • May help to postpone the use of pharmacological drugs.

    • Can be used in conjunction with narcotics and nitrous oxide.

    • Is particularly helpful for back labor.

    • Must be at least 37 weeks gestation to use a TENS unit (unless already in labor.)

    • Cannot have a cardiac pacemaker, preeclampsia, epilepsy or a history of seizures, etc.

    • Do not use in water, with an epidural, over open wounds, etc.

    • A rental contract must be signed in order to rent a TENS unit.

  • The Rental fee is $50 plus an additional $25 deposit which is retuned when I receive the unit back. If a unit or parts of the unit is lost or damaged; then a payment for a full replacement is required.
